Today, March 31st, is the 19th anniversary of the death of Selena Quintanilla-Perez. She was a talented Mexican-American singer who was known as the “Queen of Tejano Music”. Before the release of her first English album, she was murdered at the very young age of 23. She never lived to see the success of the album. Selena has influenced many artists and she will live on through her music, her fashion, and her film.
